The coverage is based on the belief that there are many efficient approaches and a diversity of techniques for studying demotivational phenomena. The understanding of employees' motivation requires consideration of these points of view. This article is a general introduction to the literature on demotivation, with an emphasis on business studies. Therefore, the paper propose is to evaluate the sources and factors that negatively affect business employees. The article examines demotivation as a system of disciplinary action, financial penalties, and emotional stress to clarify that employees are not doing well. There are such following positions that can get employees: be motivated, which means that he expresses the behavior that achieves strategic goals; be demotivated, represents the behavior that achieves goals or tasks far below his capabilities; to show a neutral attitude, performs his duties without demonstrating positive or harmful behavior. We interviewed employees of Lutsk business and found that the factors of positive motivation are used more often. That indicates the effectiveness of the motivational system. The respondents ranked positive aspects: publicization of positive achievements (16%); stimulation of development (15%); increase of material remuneration (15%); the right to purchase shares of the enterprise (11%); self-realization and development (9%). The first demotivating factor for respondents is financial penalties; the second is misunderstandings in the team; the third is a bad relationship with the immediate supervisor. We proved that interpersonal relationships are also crucial for employees. Respondents are almost not demotivated by complex tasks. We proposed the implementation of measures to prevent the demotivation of employees.
