Elsevier guidelines regarding the use of generative AI (Artificial intelligence). AI tools cannot be listed as authors and cannot take responsibility for the scholarly or ethical content of a manuscript.
Authors must:
- declare the use of AI;
- specify the tool, version, prompts, and purpose of use;
- refrain from using AI to create or edit images, figures, or graphics (except where this is part of a documented research method).
The editorial office reserves the right to use detection tools to identify AI-generated materials.
