The article conducts research related to the development of a methodological approach to the analysis and assessment of Ukraine's international competitiveness. The levels of competitiveness (competitiveness of products, enterprises, industries, regions, national economy and international competitiveness) are studied. Existing approaches to assessing the country's international competitiveness are considered. It is proved that the research of international competitiveness of the World Economic Forum, the International Institute for management and development and the International Institute for development management are recognized as the most influential. It was also found out that such methods as the Human Development Index (HDI), the Global Peace Index (GPI), the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), The Globalization Index (Index of Globalization), the ease of doing Business Index (Ease of doing Business Index), the Press Freedom Index (PFI), the index of Economic Freedom (Index of Economic Freedom) are known. The author's methodology for analyzing and evaluating the country's international competitiveness has been developed, which contains five stages: 1. Determination of the purpose, object and objectives of assessing international competitiveness. 2. Formation of an information base for assessing international competitiveness. 3. Selection of methods and directions for assessing international competitiveness. 4.Selection of a system of indicators for assessing international competitiveness. 5. Comprehensive assessment of international competitiveness. It is proved that the proposed methodological approach will allow assessing the level of international competitiveness of Ukraine, identifying its competitive advantages, as well as problems that need to be solved both in the current and future periods
