Public administration of the socio-economic system of the region

The state of the regional economy in recent years shows the weakness of regional governance, and the severity of the problems that have accumulated requires a fundamental new approach to their solution. The main task today is to create an absolutely new management concept for the development of regions, which would reflect the problems of a globally oriented economy and would contribute to the creation of mechanisms for selfregulation and self-development of regions that could ensure maximum use of their internal capabilities. Therefore, in modern conditions there is an urgent need to improve the theoretical foundations of the formation of new, modern mechanisms of regional management. The article highlights the main functions of state administration of the socio-economic system of the region.
