Trends for the development of the breeding industry in Ukraine

The article substantiates the importance of the baking industry for the Ukrainian economy in the context of global integration processes. The tendencies observed in the market of bakery products during the last years have been investigated. Significant decline of industrial production of bread products has been proved, basic economic indicators have been analyzed. The level and the state of the industry of bakery products of Ukraine against the background of other countries are analyzed. It was established that the main obstacles are the investment deficit, ineffective state influence on the stabilization and development of the industry, and as a result, low profitability of production, unfair competition, systematic price increases for the most important productive resources
